We are powerful Mongolian single mothers

The Mongolian Mothers’ Empowerment Association(MMEA)

MMEA was established in the year 2008 as a tool for creating jobs for Mongolian single mothers so they could support themselves and their families.

  In the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, where around 13 million people live and where 60% of them are in the GER zone, most mothers are single and earlier had no hope. A group of these mothers however took it upon themselves and started MMEA as a managing tool for selling their hand-made products in the hope of raising money for their hand-made products. The money will be used to better their living conditions, provide for their children's needs such as clothing, sufficient schooling and sufficient food which in Mongolia consists of a customary modest two meals per a day.
